Three syllables for you: Dee.Lish.isssss. (Delicious). That is how simply I can describe this spinach bread. And the best part? It takes minutes to prepare. It starts with tubes of crescent dough and ends with a beautifully braided bread. I usually serve this as an appetizer, and it is always a crowd-pleaser….Pair it with a salad, and you have yourself a delicious, veggie-filled lunch!

Ingredients:
2 tubes Pillsbury crescent rolls
1 box frozen chopped spinach (cooked, strain out the water)
8 ounces of shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
3 cloves garlic, minced

egg white

1 tbsp shredded parmesan cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

1. Cook and strain spinach.
2. Open crescent tubes, separate and layout the triangles of crescents with points out on a large pan. Press the flat/inner seams together.

3. Add spinach, minced garlic, and cheese in a bowl. Mix to combine.
4. Use a spoon to place the spinach mixture down the middle of the crescent rolls. Braid by lifting the “points” of the triangle, one at a time across the mixture (to cross in the center).
5. Beat one egg white and apply egg wash to crescent roll braid. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and bake for approximately 18 minutes.
