Ingredients

  • ½ cup Wondra flour
  • 8 granny Smith apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • Pillsbury All-Ready crust
  • Pillsbury All-Ready crust

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Remove pie crust from refrigerator.
  • Sprinkle Wondra flour in pie pan (to cover bottom of the pan).
  • Peel, core, and cut apples.
  • Place apples in a large bowl, and add Wondra flour. Mix to combine.
  • In a medium sized bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg.
  • Add sugar mixture to apples. Mix to combine.
  • Place apple mixture in pie crust.
  • Cut up butter and place over apple mixture.
  • Cover with remaining pie crust.
  • Spray pie crust with Pam and sprinkle cinnamon sugar on pie crust.
  • Cover edges of pie with aluminum foil or with pie crust protector.
  • Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees.
  • Bake for forty-five minutes, remove pie crust protector (or foil), and bake for an additional fifteen minutes.
