A twenty year tradition for me to bake this cake and bring it to Thanksgiving dinner!

Ingredients

  • cup flaked coconut
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 cups Bisquik
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup milk
  • cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and grease an 8×8 square pan.
  • In a small bowl, combine coconut, walnuts, sugar, and 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine Bisquik, ¼ cup of sugar, 2 tablespoon of melted butter, egg, and milk. Beat rapidly for thirty seconds.
  • Spread batter into pan.
  • Melt chocolate chips, then spoon over batter. Use a knife to cut through batter to create marbled effect.
  • Sprinkle coconut mixture over the top of the batter.
  • Bake for 20-24 minutes.
  • Cool on a wire rack before serving.
