The Best Homemade Granola

This homemade granola is easy to “whip up”. You can use this exact recipe, add to the recipe, or change up some of the flavors and add the ingredients that you love!
Snack on the granola, eat it like cereal with your choice of milk, or sprinkle the granola over yogurt for a simple snack that you can take anywhere.

With this simple and easy granola, the possibilities are endless!

Ingredients:

2 cups of rolled oats

1/4 cup of light brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

1/2 cup of dried fruit ( I used dried cranberries)

1/3 cup of slivered almonds

4 tablespoons of salted butter

4 tablespoons of honey

  1.  Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Combine oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, dried fruit, and almonds in a large bowl.
  3. In a saucepan or in microwave (in a microwave safe bowl), melt butter.  Remove from heat and add honey.  Stir until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Pour the honey/butter over the oat mixture, and stir to combine. 
  5. Spread onto a baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper.  
  6. Bake for 18-22 minutes (until golden brown).
