The Best Homemade Granola
Snack on the granola, eat it like cereal with your choice of milk, or sprinkle the granola over yogurt for a simple snack that you can take anywhere.
- 2 cups rolled oats
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup dried fruit (I used dried cranberries)
- ⅓ cup slivered almonds
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- 4 tablespoons honey
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Combine oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, dried fruit, and almonds in a large bowl.
In a saucepan or in microwave (in a microwave safe bowl), melt butter. Remove from heat and add honey. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
Pour the honey/butter over the oat mixture, and stir to combine.
Spread onto a baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 18-22 minutes (until golden brown).
