Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line muffin tin with muffin liners (or lightly butter the muffin tins) .
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt– set aside.
In a small bowl, mash two of the bananas with a fork (be sure that the bananas still have texture).
Place the remaining one banana in a bowl, add sugar to the bowl, and use a handheld mixer to whip the banana and sugar together for three minutes.
Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla to the banana/sugar mixture and beat well.
Mix in the dry ingredients into the banana/sugar/butter/eggs/vanilla mixture.
Fold in the walnuts, the chocolate chips, and the mashed bananas into the mixture with a rubber spatula.
Spoon the batter to fill half of each of the spaces in the muffin tins.
Bake for 18-20 minutes.
