Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

These devil’s food-like cookies  are soft and have a cake-like texture. Easy to prepare, these cookies are soft and chewy in the middle, and crispy on the edges.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Devil’s food cake mix
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • Confectioners’ sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • In a large bowl, stir dry cake mix, oil, and eggs until dough forms.
  • Cover hand with confectioners’ sugar by lightly dusting hands, and shape dough into 1½ inch balls.
  • Pour confectioners’ sugar on a plate and roll balls of dough in confectioners’ sugar.
  • Place dough 2 inches apart on uncreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven. Wait one minute, and then remove cookies from sheets, and transfer to wire cooling rack.
  • After one minute, remove cookies from cookie sheets and cool on wire racks.
