Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

These devil’s food-like cookies  are soft and have a cake-like texture. Easy to prepare, these cookies are soft and chewy in the middle, and crispy on the edges.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box Devil’s food cake mix
  • 12 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • Confectioners’ sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  1. In a large bowl, stir dry cake mix, oil, and eggs until dough forms.
  2. Cover hand with confectioners’ sugar by lightly dusting hands, and shape dough into 1 1/2 inch balls.
  3. Pour confectioners’ sugar on a plate and roll balls of dough in confectioners’ sugar.
  4. Place dough 2 inches apart on uncreased cookie sheets.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven. Wait one minute, and then remove cookies from sheets, and transfer to wire cooling rack.
  7. After one minute, remove cookies from cookie sheets and cool on wire racks.
